Alan Haft has been involved in the world of finance, in one way or another, for most of his life. He initially became interested and active in investing while still in elementary school when Haft’s mother, a Certified Financial Planner, started her own successful financial services firm in New York.

In the mid 1980’s, after graduating from Ithaca College, Haft arrived at Disney Studios in California and began a motion picture-related career that included the creation of Breakheart Films with James Wood in 1986. But his love of all things finance-related eventually brought him back to Florida where he recently formed S.H. Financial.

One of Haft’s primary specialties is retirement income planning. He saw a need in the marketplace to help clients save enough money to live on after retiring. Haft recognized that the retirement years faced by most Americans will be radically different than the retirement of their ancestors due to the unstable status of Social Security, Americans living a full decade more than their grandparents, and the fact that traditional pension programs have largely been replaced with defined contribution plans, such as 401(k) plans, that don’t guarantee a return.

Haft has been featured in numerous media outlets across the country including Forbes, the Today Show, The Los Angeles Times, CNBC, The New York Daily News, Morningstar, Fox TV, Hartford Courant, Miami Herald, Chicago Tribune, Philadelphia Sun and many, many others.

Today Haft has offices in Boca Raton, Florida, New York City and Newport Beach, California. He has become nationally recognized for his expertise in investment planning and assists a diverse group of clients all over the country. His many certifications include Investment Advisor, Certified Senior Advisor, Certified Income Planner and General Securities Representative. In addition, Haft has held hundreds of public and private investment planning workshops at locations across the country that are designed to inform and educate those nearing retirement or already in their retirement years.
